O.R. Applications — Surgical AMT Procedures
O.R. Applications
Precision amniotic membrane solutions for the operating room — delivering the performance and reliability today's surgeons demand.
Eclipse
Dehydrated AMT in six diameters. Used in the O.R. for corneal and conjunctival defects requiring larger coverage or surgical fixation.

Rectangular dehydrated AMT in three configurations. Designed for conjunctival defect closure following pterygium excision and symblepharon repair.

Pterygium excision with AMT closure
Tetra's rectangular geometry matches the conjunctival defect created by bare sclera excision. Secured with fibrin glue or sutures. Reduces recurrence risk compared to bare sclera alone.
Symblepharon repair
AMT provides a non-adherent surface during healing, reducing re-adhesion. Tetra or large Eclipse selected based on defect geometry.
Conjunctival reconstruction
Large conjunctival defects following tumor excision, chemical injury, or cicatricial disease. Tetra provides the surface area and structural support for reconstruction.
Corneal surface repair (surgical)
Persistent or large epithelial defects requiring surgical fixation. Eclipse applied and sutured or glued in place under the operating microscope.
Limbal stem cell deficiency adjunct
AMT used as a substrate for limbal stem cell transplantation or as a standalone intervention in partial LSCD.
Four intraoperative steps.
Defect assessment
Measure the defect dimensions intraoperatively. Select product and size to cover defect with 1–2mm margin.
Tissue preparation
Rehydrate tissue per IFU if required. Orient either side down (toward the ocular surface). Trim to fit if needed.
Fixation
Secure with fibrin glue (preferred) or interrupted 8-0 or 9-0 Vicryl sutures at the margins. Confirm smooth apposition.
Post-operative management
Topical antibiotic and steroid per surgeon preference. Bandage contact lens optional. Follow-up at 1–2 weeks.
