About Tetra

Tetra is a dehydrated, single-layer amniotic membrane allograft in rectangular format. Available in four configurations — 1×1 cm, 1×2 cm, 2×2 cm, and 2×3 cm — to accommodate pterygium excision, conjunctival reconstruction, and broader ocular-surface surgical applications. Sterilized by electron beam (e-beam) technique. No refrigeration required. Five-year shelf life.

What is Tetra?

Tetra is a single-layer dehydrated amniotic membrane (dAM) allograft processed from donated human placental tissue. The amniotic membrane is the innermost layer of the placenta — a naturally occurring biological scaffold rich in growth factors, cytokines, and extracellular matrix proteins that actively support tissue regeneration and reduce inflammation on the ocular surface.

Biological origin: Human placental amniotic membrane — donated, screened, and processed under strict FDA guidelines
Preservation method: Dehydrated (dAM) — ambient storage, no refrigeration required; 5-year shelf life
